You can be confident that your financial privacy is a top priority of Empower Credit Union. In order to offer you the most competitive products to meet your financial needs, effectively process, and service your transactions and comply with federal reporting requirements, it is necessary for us to share the information we collect regarding you, as described below, with various organizations with whom we partner. Some examples of companies who partner with us include vendors who work with us to process and mail account statements, and credit and check card processors. We may also disclose information about you under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. In those instances where we partner with organizations that provide our members with additional financial products or provide the credit union with services, we may disclose all the information we collect as described below. To protect your confidentiality and limit the use of the information we provide, we have entered into special agreements with these organizations. We do not permit these companies to sell to other third parties the information we provide them. We receive nonpublic personal financial information from you in a variety of ways - information we receive from you on membership and loan applications and other forms.
If you terminate your membership with Empower Credit Union, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as permitted or required by law. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to Empower Credit Union employees who have a specific business purpose in utilizing your data. Our employees are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations and leading industry practices to safeguard your nonpublic personal information. |
