Becoming a member of Empower Credit Union is simple. Just open a Base Membership Account with a minimum of $25, which represents your share of ownership and entitles you to the wealth of financial services available at Empower Credit Union. As a member/owner, you'll also benefit by earning dividends (interest) on all deposits over $50.00 in your Share Savings Account.

Who can Join?

New membership is open only to:

  • Employees
  • Retirees
  • Other family members include children, parents, grandchildren, and grandparents of the above households
  • Dependent family members of Wisconsin Energy Corporation (parent corporation of WE Energies and their subsidiaries)

How to Join

Empower has made it as simple as 1, 2, 3 to become a member!

  1. Complete a membership card
  2. No initial deposit required, just sign up for payroll deduction for at least $25.00 a pay period to your new account
  3. Watch your savings grow

If you already are a member and would like to open another account such as a Christmas Club, your payroll deduction can be as low as $10.00 per pay period.
