Empower Credit Union’s certificate accounts include short-term investments of six and nine months, as well as long-term investments ranging from one to five years, with many options in between. All of our certificates offer highly competitive rates and require only a $1,000 initial deposit.

As an incentive to save, you can elect to have payroll/pension deductions go directly into the nine-month certificate, without changing the maturity date.

The penalty for early withdrawals is the lesser of 90 days interest or all interest earned.
